In an exclusive interview, Hero Future Energies' Chief Executive Officer, Sunil Jain, tells ETEnergyWorld that they are cautiously optimistic as far as the impact of supply chain disruption from China on their business is concerned. Edited excerpts:
How is the Coronavirus spread impacting businesses?
These are unprecedented and extraordinary times, and probably there's no point in cribbing but facing it. Times are tough and the lockdown has made it more difficult. But we believe that the lockdown is the need of the hour and we can not do anything about it. Probably this is one of the best solutions we have in our hands for a country like India.
As far as Hero Future Energies is concerned, how are you managing the situation with work from home options and factories closed?
Communicating through online meeting tools has probably become our go between all the teams. So, teams interact among themselves. We are working business as usual, from home. There is no shift. We have advised teams that they will be on their computer screens or their mobile phones. Whatever electronic media is there, they will be on time as the office starts.
